$20.00

40 minutes. Produced in 2008 by Joe Furman.

The Edwards Aquifer is home to the some of the rarest and most bizarre creatures in the world. This black aquatic underworld is teaming with life and is home to the Endangered Texas Blind Salamander. Only a handful of people have ever seen it in the wild. Follow me and some of the interesting people who study, and help protect Texas wild places and animals, as we climb down ito the past through Ezell's Cave (the first cave preserve in Texas) and explore the rarely seen depths of hte Aquifer and its inhabitants. For the first time ever, the most cave advanced salamander in the world will be revealed swimming in its natural environment - Joe Furman.

"This documentary presents a good summary of the exotic life in the Edwards Aquifer. And the trip through the cave should give viewers a good idea of what it is like to explore a wild cave like Ezell's. Jean's footage while diving is really spectacular. It is rare to get a real glimpse of the inside of the aquifer. I think the DVD can be a great tool for showing the public, from school children to adults, what the equaifer looks like and why we need to protect it" - Brian A. Smith, Aquifer Science Team Leader, Barton Springs/Edwards Aquifer Conservation District
